Day 59/365 - Whacked out, trippy image time!
Have you ever messed with a photo so much it no longer looks like a photograph? I have! I mean look at this. The original picture is of my room door (it’s wooden, hence the look) with a dymo print of my name on it & an Apple sticker, and look what it looks like now!
And can you believe I did not use Photoshop, just made some adjustments on iPhoto.
Day 15 - Zoozoo sees rain clouds ☁
I spent my Sunday at home & was wondering what I should click a picture of when Mom suggested this- our Zoozoo calendar. Zoozoo are characters from the advertising campaign of a telecom company. They look animated, but they’re not. They’re real guys in suits. But I don’t wanna tell you about all those Zoozoo facts, I just wanna tell you how much my Dad loves them. He has a zoozoo sticker at the back of his call phone & actually traded me his new BlackBerry for a zoozoo sticker set & cell phone charm that I had.
Then he found this calendar I had & promptly took it & kept it on top of our speaker on our computer table so he can look at it often.
I sometimes often wonder who really is the kid at home.
Day 12 - Another Mac BookPro shot.
q.w.e.r.t.y.
Day 9 - Classic Music CDs
What do you do when you can’t think of what picture to click? Improvise.
I clicked a picture of the first 8 Classics Music CDs that I found here at home.
My Dad has a kick ass collection of classic music CDs, all from before he got married to mom. Recently I sat & ripped them onto my MacBook Pro. They did take up a lot of disc space, but I don’t really mind!
With stuff like the iTunes store & internet radio like winamp & last.fm, who buys Music CDs anymore? I still buy them occasionally. It’s like the difference between a real book & an e-book. You can’t really compare the two.
{CDs in photograph- left to right-
first row: The Best of Laura Branigan, Dire Straits- On Every Street, The Police- Every Breath You Take.
second row: Pat Benatar- Best Shots, ABBA- The Singles (The first ten years) (Double CD), Bangles- Different Light.
third row: Neil Diamond- Moods, The Legend of Eagles.}
Day 8 - And then Steve Jobs said, “Let there be light!”
Another day at home… what should I shoot?
AHA I have an idea!
Turn off the lights, draw the curtains then shoot the outside of my MacBook Pro with no flash.
The apple illuminates the darkness!
And no, I do not worship Steve Jobs or think of him as a God. I just think he’s a fucking genius.
Day 7 - Johnny Gone Down.
Today was another day spent entirely at home.
Bought this book a couple of days ago. I was completely delighted to find it was an author signed copy (though I just knew the author by name & had not even read his previous book).
Finished reading it yesterday. Posted a review of it here.
Now it’s just lying around & I’m wondering what to do with the book. Maybe I’ll give it to Dad to read.
Day 6 - Clear Blue Skies with a touch of Cotton.
Ever since I was a kid I have been fascinated by clouds… I remember travelling by plane when I was 2 or 3 years old, looking at the terribly fluffy clouds wishing I could just stop the plane & step onto the clouds. (That was long before I knew that clouds aren’t really that solid & you can’t just step out a plane when it’s so high, you’d get sucked out).
I know that there are ‘cloud-watchers’ who like to observe clouds & identify their type, etc.
I’m not one of them.
I just like to look at them - I find them dreamy.
Today I’ve had the luxury of being home all day… So here’s the view from my living room window.
